The Power Handle and Brush Head FAQs

What type of bristles are used on the izzo Brush Head?

izzo's high-quality Brush Heads are made from long lasting, premium DuPont Tynex® Nylon 612 filaments (bristles). These are tougher, more durable, and have greater bend recovery than common alternatives. In fact, DuPont clinical studies show Tynex® filaments deliver excellent wear performance and greater bend recovery vs. other materials.

Further, Precise production process ensures brush filaments feature optimal end-rounding for greater comfort.

How often do you recommend replacing the izzo Brush Head?

According to the American Dental Association, toothbrushes should be replaced approximately every three to four months or more often if the bristles become matted or frayed. The effectiveness of the brush decreases as the bristles become worn.

What are the different cleaning modes?

izzo comes with 3 cleaning modes: Ultra is high intensity, Daily is moderate for everyday brushing, and Gentle is best for more sensitive teeth. For most people, Daily is recommended for regular brushing.

However, when polishing, izzo should be set to Ultra for optimal surface stain and soft plaque removal from the teeth’s enamel. You can also use Ultra if you need more power while brushing.

How long should izzo users brush their teeth?

According to the American Dental Association, the consensus recommendation is for people to brush their teeth for 2 minutes twice a day with a toothbrush that has soft bristles. izzo will pulse every 30 seconds to remind users to switch quadrants and will stop after 2 minutes.

How do I attach or remove my Brush or Polishing Head?

To attach your Brush or Polishing Head, place the neck of the head on the Power Handle tip and twist clockwise to lock.

To remove your Brush or Polishing Head, hold the neck of the brush (not the bristles), twist counterclockwise to unlock, and pull the head off.
